Who is 2nda Piel?
Karina and Tanja started this project in the rainy season of 2022. Both are inspired by second hand clothes, the multiple ways of expressing oneself with what you wear and how every action and choice has an impact on the place and nature you live in.
What is the idea behind 2nda Piel?
On our path of becoming more aware and conscious regarding the environment we are living in and how we preserve and honor the land with our daily actions and habits the clothes we wear became a big part of our focus.
There are already so many clothes on the planet and the clothes industry is
contributing to the pollution and damaging of the environment. Wearing 2nd hand clothes is a good opportunity to act differently and to share and reuse instead of consuming and throwing away.
Offering
Our vision is to inspire to reuse the clothes we have and to be
conscious about the materials we choose to wear.
Clothes are a way of expressing oneself, they are our
second skin - the image we send out into the world and to ourselves which is worth tobe taken care of and a way to communicate and interact with our environment.
Clothes shall be gentle to the body, allow
for free movement. The materials especially in this climate shall be light and allow the skin to breathe, there is beauty in details, colors and patterns.
Dontations
We receive donations of clothes and will work with the pieces that inspire us. We will be selling the clothes in different places around the Diamante Valley. Our first stop is the Tinamaste Ferria every other Tuesday starting on Tuesday 27 of December.
The pieces we are not working with, will be donated to places and communities that need them. We have connections to the indigenous tribes of the Zona Sur and prepare also to donate in case of emergency events like floods etc.
We receive clean, not damaged, non-synthetic (mix of synthetic and cotton is ok) clothes for woman, man and children. Washed out colors are ok, no wholes, little repairs are ok. We receive clean sheets or pieces of fabric.
