Course description
Welcome outdoor lovers, nature lovers, survivalists and adventurers. We provide hands-on experience with survival techniques, adapted to the tropical climates. You don’t need to have any tropical survival skills, we teach you those. If you have prior knowledge you are welcome to dive deeper into the skills and practice them. We provide you with food and water and we cook together on an open fire with local food. We will not be hiking a lot into the jungle, just to the stream nearby to refresh ourselves. You still need good footwear. We will spend the nights outdoors in a swamped that we have already built. We provide a mosquito net. If you like to sleep in your own hammock with mosquito net, you are welcome to hang it up, but be sure to bring a tarp with you. Here in the tropics there can always be a rain shower.
Required equipment
Sleeping bag or blanket (according to the season), sleeping pad or air mattress, hut, sunscreen, a sharp non-folding knife, mosquito repellent, water bottle, headlamp or flashlight, towel, swim suit, swimming trunks, organic toiletries, notebook and pen, quality rain gear in rainy season.
Optional: Gloves and snack foods
Recommended clothing
- Light long trousers and a short
- Long sleeve shirts and T-Shirts
