Tropical Immersion and Herbalism Retreat

VerdEnergia is a regenerative agroforestry project. Nestled in the jungles of Costa Rica in a town called Lanas. About 2 hours south east of the San Jose airport. I will post their page in the discussion.

During this retreat myself and Patrick will be leading you on a week long tropical immersion diving into connection. With the help of some surprise instructors and many plant allies we will explore fresh knowledge, and experiences together. We have orchestrated a schedule to bring each participant a robust and nourishing experience.

Fermentation exploration
Jackfruit harvest & edible creations
Sugar-cane/citrus harvest with natural lemonade making
Bean to Bar chocolate making
Plant walks & food harvests
Tour of regenerative turmeric project
River & waterfall adventures

Here is a sample schedule of what you can expect on a daily basis:

6-730 AM rise, light breakfast
730-830 AM guided yoga or space for your own practice, walking etc.
9-11 AM Activity (Tincture Making)
11-12 AM Lunch
12-1 Digest
1-4 Activity (Waterfall Adventure)
4-6 free time
6 pm dinner

Evenings will have varying activities such as: cards, alone time, studio time/ dancing, movie night, group socializing and more.

About your hosts:

Melodie Fallon: Melodie is a passionate earth & heart centered healer. She draws inspirations from the land around her and lands she’s traveled too. Melodie holds deep reverence for her teachers, plants and ancestral roots that continues to inspire her work. She has been practicing body work for 9 years encompassing a variety of modalities to help bring balance to the physical, mental and emotional body. The base of all her work is nourishment, and a place that is often returned to. Melodie holds deep regard for her teacher Sage Maurer at the Gaia School of Healing who she studied 2 years with in folk herbalism. She since has apprenticed on the land working directly with the plants, and learning from her teacher.

Patrick Collins: Patrick has been a part of VerdEnergia since 2016 and is co-founder of Blacksheep Regenerative Resource Management, a permaculture operations and consulting company check out there website and learn more here. Patrick works with a passion to assist in the alignment of human design back into synchronicity with Gaia. He designs regenerative gardens with the intention of assisting visitors to connect more deeply with themselves, others, and the panet. He will be guiding you through much of your journey before you arrive as well as introducing you to some of the magic VerdEnergia has to offer.

Jungle Chef- Chris Bliss: We are very excited that Chris Bliss will be head chef for this experience. Chris’ experience as a professional chef blended with his knowledge of the land and playful nature brings forth some of the best meals loaded with jungle goodness and love. We are very excited to be indulging with you in his nourishing creations.
