Non Violent Communication – Speaking From the Heart
July 3, 2023 - July 9, 2023
Event Navigation

DESCRIPTION
The main difficulty in interpersonal communication is due to our natural physiological tendency to look first outward and not inward. Our eyes, that look outwards, see the other as responsible for our personal difficulties. When our desires and needs are not met, we tend to judge the other, criticize and blame. This criticism causes the other to get offended, and to get into the “fight, flight or freeze” mechanism. Tragically, this creates a negative cycle that makes it difficult for us to fulfill our needs. Tragically even more, as a society, our current habitual way of thinking of: right/ wrong, should/ shouldn’t, good/ evil, makes it even harder for us to behave in a different way.
The model of Non-violent communication (NVC), developed by Dr. Marshal Rosenberg in the 1960’s, succeeds in addressing the difficulty of human beings to understand and communicate with each other in a constructive way.
During the course of the week you will:
-
Shift the focus from the other to yourself, get familiar and tune to your feelings and needs, without “involving” the other. By doing this, the automatic, habitual criticism will be replaced with understanding and empathy to yourself and to the other.
-
Learn how to communicate your feelings and needs to the other, in a way that would fulfill your needs in effective, easy and joyful way.
This course provides tools for making a deep connection and compassion in your daily lives. It is highly recommended for individuals and couples, seeking better ways of understanding, communicating and fulfilling themselves, and is extremely important for people living in communities, who wish to solve conflicts in a peaceful way.

This, will strengthen your ability to be compassionate and loving toward yourself and others, as we practice in Non-violent-communication.
Taoist meditation:
Greet the day by a daily meditation, balancing your energy centers, calming your body, quieting your emotions and purifying your mind.
Taichi ☯️ Qigong:
Nourish yourself by moving with intention and opening to the loving energy of the universe .
The sequenced body mantras of Qi Gong (Qi = energy, gong = practice) cultivate a flow of vital energy and a sense of weightlessness, love and joy.
Qi gong and Taichi are part of the traditional Chinese medicine, regarded as self-healing bodywork. Practicing these holistic exercises will strengthen and flex your body, release energetic blockages, balance your emotions, and will cleanse and quiet your mind.
