We are Forever Costa Rica, a private non-governmental organization, created in 2010 as one of the first PFPs in the world, based on the project finance for permanence model.

We were born under a public-private partnership to support the country in meeting the goals of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) of the United Nations.

Our mission is to enhance partnerships and manage resources for biodiversity conservation and human well-being.

We are dedicated to manage, invest and mobilize resources from governments, international organizations and private foundations that seek biodiversity conservation.

We manage trust funds, provide technical advice, execute projects, and build long-term planning instruments, in conjunction with multiple partners, to ensure the sustainability of our actions.

We work throughout the Costa Rican territory through our Protected Areas program and the Green and Blue Economy program.

In addition, we are part of international initiatives such as the PACIFICO Foundation, where we collaborate for the conservation of biodiversity in the Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean; and the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Environmental Funds (RedLAC).

Our team is multidisciplinary, trained and committed. We believe in working in partnerships with diverse sectors.

We seek innovative ideas to meet the ambitious national and international goals of biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation.
