Las Quebradas Biological Center (FUDEBIOL)

The Foundation for the Development of the Las Quebradas Biological Center (FUDEBIOL) was born on May 13, 1989, driven by the concern of a group of neighbors from the community of Quebradas de Pérez Zeledón regarding the accelerated loss of forests and the deterioration of the water sources that supply the city of San Isidro de El General.

FUDEBIOL’s work is carried out through environmental projects, conservation programs, educational initiatives, and services that promote sustainable development in the Quebradas River basin. Each of these contributes to protecting water, conserving forests, and strengthening the relationship between people and nature.
